it's all about Provisions at Peggotty this week
This week, we’re focusing on the “provisions” in Peggotty Provisions. It’s going to be a week with sausages, spice rubs, dips and killer condiments. We hope you enjoy it!
Note: Alecco Bakery is on vacation this week. We will be featuring sourdough loaves from guest baker Brendan Joy at Steel & Rye Restaurant, in Milton, MA.
Coming Tuesday: check out the awesome new sausages we have coming from Smoking Goose: Caraway and Kolsch Bratwurst, Mexican Chorizo, their killer Breakfast Sausage, and Jowl Bacon- basically, bacon made from pork jowls. Awesome.
You could do this for a bossy dinner spread:
Fluffy Pita Bread
Hummus Tahini
Creamy Whipped Feta Dip
Moroccan-spiced Chicken Kebab Meat
Red Gem Lettuce
Persian Cucumbers
-grill the chicken, and put out a gorgeous b.y.o. chicken shawarma situation
or this luxe lunch or light dinner:
Lemon Garlic Aioli
crispy smashed baby potatoes (boil, then lightly press on potatoes to slightly crush, then saute in olive oil)
steamed Delta Queen Asparagus
Red Gem lettuce leaves
poached Del Pacifico Wild Shrimp
on your favorite platter, and it's not to early for rose
or this:
East Coast Halibut Fillet
Bunched Vidalia Spring Onions
Marinated White Beans
Spanish Almond Romesco Sauce
-season and saute a beautiful piece of halibut. Wipe out the pan, halve, and char the spring onions. Put the fish and charred onions on top of some white beans, and top it off with romesco sauce.
